– if you can’t pack, you can sponsor meals PLUS you can pray for the team who is packing as well as the families receiving the meals – $25 covers 100 meals.
Mission Trip (July 22-29)
Cape Christian is sponsoring a family ministry trip to one of our Haiti partners, Mission of Hope. Mission of Hope is located about one hour’s drive outside the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Another hour’s drive beyond the Mission of Hope main campus, is our adopted village of Williamson. This team will concentrate their ministry to Williamson, with a population of approximately 10,000 people. The team will stay at Mission of Hope’s Bercy campus, located on beautiful Port-au-Prince Bay and only about a 30 minute drive from Williamson, near the town of Archahaie.
This is a family style trip so students 13 and older may go (Ages 13-16 MUST be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, etc.) along with adults. Application deadline is May 21. A $300 deposit is also due by May 21. Final payment is due by June 18.
As to what team members will be doing in Haiti, projects in our village of Williamson will vary. Some may be involved in painting a church, repairing a home, doing community survey, helping deliver water filters to homes and other projects the village champion determines is most needed. Details will be be available as we get nearer to the date.
