Creative Arts Ministry

OUR VISION

The purpose of the Creative Arts Ministry is to utilize all of the arts to enhance the vision of Cape Christian, to connect people with God and provide opportunities to build relationships while becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Connecting people to grow is our primary purpose throughout our weekend worship gatherings. It is our goal and desire to effectively lead people into the very presence of God.

We purpose to honor God through creativity which He has instilled within us, while communicating the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with relevance and excellence. Cape Christian is a place where the use of creative gifts is encouraged AND celebrated.

We have openings in the following areas:

WORSHIP

PRAISE TEAM - The purpose of this highly visible group of singers is to assist in leading the congregation into the presence of God through worship. Therefore, they should have joyful hearts and a love for Him that is present while they worship. Although vocal competence is needed, reading music is not required. Vocal auditions are held through our Worship Pastor.

PRAISE BAND - If you are skilled on a musical instrument and feel called to give your God-given talent back to Him, then we'd love for you to consider the Praise Band. Although it is not a requirement that you are able to read music, basic knowledge of chord charts is necessary.


TECHNICAL ARTS

SOUND - Mix live sound for rehearsals and/or worship services.

LIGHTING - Program light settings in addition to working the light board during  worship services.

PRO-PRESENTER (Worship, Message & Announcement Slides) - Prepare and run on screen presentations for rehearsals and during worship services.

VIDEO PRODUCTION - Set up or operate a video camera during worship services or for Life Groups; edit video for worship, Life Groups, etc.

DRAMA - The drama ministry at Cape Christian is not about stage performance, but about being a tool in the hand of God in order to convey His truth to His people. All you need is a heart of humility, a desire to see God's truth made known, and a willingness to be part of a team.
