Christmas Village Brings Ice Skating, Craft Fair to Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, FL – Cape Christian’s Fellowship Park has been long revered as a top Cape Coral attraction, and a new Christmas Village holiday experience will surely expand on that tradition. The grounds next to the well-known park have been transformed into a magical winter wonderland, complete with an ice skating rink. December 7 is opening day for the Christmas Village, which runs daily through December 28.
“We are so thrilled to give back to this community in such a big way. The ice skating attraction is a unique experience that will be a first for many locals,” said Lead Pastor Cory Demmel.
This year’s Christmas Village will also feature Cape Christian’s first ever Craft Fair on December 10th & 11th, with local vendors offering a wide variety of handcrafted gift options and a “Christmas mini” photo booth. More information regarding specific vendors can also be found on the website.
Free family friendly activities include weekend visits with Santa Claus and full feature Christmas movies in the park, in addition to daily crafting with Mrs. Claus, reindeer games, “snowball” fights, and a 20’ snow slide. Movie refreshments, hot cocoa, s’mores kits, and cookies to decorate with Mrs. Claus available for purchase at Tony and Ada’s on-site café, and tickets for ice skating sessions include skates and can be purchased in advance at capechristmas.com.
Cape Christian will also host a special Christmas service on December 24, and welcomes everyone in the community to attend one of the services at 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, or 6 pm.
