Cape Christian Small Groups

Small Groups have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why Small Groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.

Four Things to know about Cape Christian Small Groups:

Our hope is for every person at Cape Christian to be connected in meaningful community through a Small Group and here are a few things to help you know how we do Small Groups here.

1. Our groups are “free market.”

We want people to gather together based on things they enjoy and are important to them. Essentially, the things you are already doing in your life are the things that can make up your Small Group!  From sports groups to lunch groups, parenting groups to Bible study groups, our groups are as varied as we are.

All groups fall within six categories:

MEN

WOMEN

EVERYONE WELCOME

MARRIED

YOUNG ADULTS

SHARED INTEREST

2.  There are three semesters every year.

Life flows in seasons and we want to make it easy for you to be in the right Small Group for you in each season.  This is why we have groups that start and stop three times a year:

Winter/Spring . Summer . Fall

3.  Everyone can join a group.

With many groups to choose from, we are confident there is a group that is a great fit for you.

4.  Anyone can lead, co-lead or host a group.

To learn more about becoming a Small Group Leader, Co-Lead or Host, all you need to do is attend all four steps of Growth Track and attend the next Small Group Leadership Luncheon.  Even if you are not sure you are ready to lead, you are welcome to attend and see what we are about.

Our Grill and Chill Summer Small Group session is going, you can sign up to any of our available groups here!

We have a variety of Small Groups. Some study the Bible, some are activity or interest based and some of them frame their discussion around the the weekend messages at Cape Christian.

As our church community is growing, we recognize that there are not enough Small Groups for everyone. We have some great Couples Small Groups but need more. We have some great Book Study groups but need more. We have some wonderful interest groups but need more. If you haven’t found a Small Group at Cape Christian that works for you, will you consider leading one? There is a good chance that others are looking for the type of group you need and are just waiting for someone to step up to lead it.

Leading a Small Group

Leading a Small Group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect.  We believe people’s lives are changed one semester at a time by moving one step toward Christ, and as a Small Group leader you get to play an important role in that process.

If you are interested in looking at what it means to be a Small Group Leader your first step is to go through Growth Track. We have Growth Track on Sundays at 10:30am in D4. You can sign up for Growth Track here.

If you have any questions about our Small Groups or what being a Small Group Leader, Co-leader or Host looks like, email groups@capechristian.com or fill out the form HERE!
